The Chrysler Cirrus is produced by the Chrysler Corporation (later DaimlerChrysler) from 1995 until now. It was first seen by the public in 1992 where it was shown in conceptual form and three years later it really did replace its predecessor, the LeBaron. The American version of the Cirrus was only sold from 1995 - 2000, before being replaced by the Sebring, and today the Chrysler Cirrus is only sold in Mexico, but is still, as since 1995, manufactured in the Sterling Heights, Michigan plant.

The Chrysler Cirrus is classified as a mid-size sedan and always comes with four doors and is built on the Chrysler JA platform. There were two trim models available, known as the LX and LXi with the latter being the luxury version of the Chrysler Cirrus. Only two engines and one transmission were built into the Cirrus, the transmission being a 4 speed automatic and the engines being either a 2.4L or a 2.5 L V6 which was made by Mitsubishi Motors. The Chrysler Cirrus was also part of a group of three cars which were known as the "Cloud" cars and the Cirrus was actually the top car.
